ORLEN, the largest network of filling stations and a part of the ORLEN Unipetrol Group, has expanded the offer of payment methods for car refuelling. In addition to payments at the cash register in shops or at the fuel dispensing pump using a QR code, ORLEN customers can, as the first in Czechia, settle their payments with the ORLEN app displayed inside their cars. This innovation enables fast, safe and convenient payments with various bank card types and Tankarta cards without getting out of the vehicle to the payment terminal.
“As a market leader, we constantly seek opportunities to improve and expand our services. The number of customers preferring our app for payments keeps increasing, so we have introduced another innovation. Next to the option of using a QR code at the pump, we are the first in Czechia to develop an in-car onboard display of our application, which allows you to make fuel payments directly from your vehicle,” says Rostislav Moravec, Director of the ORLEN network of filling stations.
Displaying the ORLEN app in the car’s onboard system is user-friendly and fully compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto systems. Direct payments from the car display are easy and convenient. The app can navigate the driver to the nearest ORLEN location that can be picked by specific criteria – station type, fuel type, and other fuel and non-fuel products, including the Stop Café offer. Then, the driver refuels the car at the selected site and makes the payment comfortably from the car. The app supports all bank card types and Tankarta Easy and Tankarta Business fuel cards. The electronic receipt is saved in the app for 18 months.
